Kingdom Hearts 2 Review
08.30.08

OKay Kingdom Hearts 2 this one is the best of the 2 no contest what so ever!

Okay I will set up the story! Okay for the first time I got confused in this game from the start and the reason is I started the game and I was like “OMG!!! Where is Sora and who is this guy?!?!” for the first time in the series you don’t play as Sora for the beginning! You start out as Roxas in Twilight Town and you have to play as Roxas for the 6 days then you gain control of Sora and then the adventure really begins! I am going to keep this spoiler free even though some of y’all want me to tell the entire story, but I am not going to do it! If you want to find out go out and buy it or rent it! But either way it is basically the same theme as the last game but instead of the worlds being connected you have to unlock the pathways to them while fighting Organization XIII and along the way one of the major changes is the Drive Gauge and the abilities you get with your new clothes! I give the story a 10!

Next the graphics which are much improved from the last game and that is hard to do because they were extremely great! Okay first thing I noticed is that the characters are alot smoother in design and that the worlds in this one are alot more massive than the first game each with it’s own unique style and landscape! Also some of the worlds are some that you have been to before if you played the first game! I give the graphics a 10 as well!

                     Kingdom-Hearts-2-03.jpg

The controls are a massive improvement over the first game by a long shot! The first thing I noticed is that the controls are a bit different which is a great thing. For one thing the camera button was the right analog stick! I was so happy that they swapped that to the analog stick rather than having those R2 and L2 buttons! Another thing is that the 4th option was removed and replaces by the command button which is now Triangle and that is a great thing because now you can hit it faster and you can now open treasure chests in the heat of a battle! The next feature is the reaction command button which is probably the best feature in the game because it has so many uses! I give the controls for this game a 9!

Allright it is nearing the end of my review and now it is time to talk about the sound and the quality of it! Now the sound is awesome in this game featuring I think all the same voice cast as the first game or close to it! The music is incredible and I think it is everybit as memorable as the first game! The theme song for this game is Sanctuary and it is a great song and goes well with the intro video! I give it a 10 for the sound in this game!

The second being the great Kingdom of San’doria a mighty city of the proud race of Elvaans, much like the Kingdom of King Arthur Knights help keep the peace in this land. The third city is a mystical one and home of the small mages the Tarutaru and the loyal female felines the Mithra, as is expected of a home nation full of these two races the land is one of mystical and natural, full of trees and a lovely river flowing through its core, but also full of mystical buildings and teleports to help you get around this huge city.

Your adventuring life will start out as 1 of 6 classes, what will you be, perhaps go on the side of power and master of all weapons, the warrior; train yourself in the arts of hand to hand combat and become a monk; become agile and quick becoming a thief; learn the ways of the sword and magic and become a red mage; train yourself to control the elements and harness its great power and become a black mage; or perhaps become one with your fellow man and learn the arts of the white mage healing all that you can.

Of course as an adventurer you are not limited to one you can diverse yourself to another learning each and every skill you can to become the greatest adventurer and eventually get your hands on many other powers like learning the beasts moves from the island to the east blue mage; tame all the beasts in the wild and become the powerful beastmaster or even learn the arts of dance and harness its excellence in battle all these and more are waiting for you in the world of Vana’diel.

It is the time of the adventurer in Vana’Diel and as such you will be asked for many a request from adventurer and noble alike. Perhaps you will help your home nation in its troubles and the fear of the awakening of the Shadowlord whose power earged almost complete destruction to the nations just 20 years past. You will also find yourself stumbling among the strange but wonderful constructions the crags, but on further inspection discover disturbing truths and amazing sights visiting the Chains of Promythia, where you struggle to stop the Celestial Avatars destroying the world to fulfill a pact that was made between them and the ancient race of the Zilart 20000 years ago. With this you can find the mysteries between this ancient race in Rise of the Zilart. There is also great waters where you can wonder on great vessels and airships created by the master engineer Cid, one of these places is that of Art Urgan far to the east home of pirates, mages and Puppetmasters, ruled by the Empress and home of the great mystical item the Astral Candescence. This is also home of the mercenary group Salaheems Sentinals, run by a strict Mithra named Naja, if you decide to join this mercenary group you may find more than you bargained for when you have to defend the city from the constant attack from the beastmen advances, but is everything as it seems its yours to find out. One of the newest mysteries of Vana’Diel is the appearance of strange devices known as Cavernous Maws, devices not seen before but seem to suck you in to spit you out 20 years in the past to the time of the Crystal War, where the 3 nations once enemies are having to pull forces to create the allied forces against the struggles of the first encounter with the Shadowlord, his great power and ability to control all beastmen to do his biddings, what are these strange devices and how have they come to be, perhaps it has something to do with a strange cat, and what is to happen to the timeline if we adventurers start to mess with things there.

Final Fantasy X-2 Review
08.28.08

Final Fantasy X-2 is going to take a while to compile all this and I hope I don’t give spoilers with this one because it is going to be kind of hard to do because of the FFX ending. Well here it goes….

Final Fantasy X-2

The story of FFX-2 is one that is not to be forgoten though it can be easy to get lost in the story of this game…….but it is not too bad. I like the story to this one and the title tells pretty much where it starts but most people don’t catch it! The title is FFX-2 so keeping on track it takes place 2 years after the events of Final Fantasy X and I highly recommend playing X first because if you don’t you will be lost the entire time in this game! But I am keeping this review as spoiler free as i can So the game starts out in Luca where Yuna, Rikku, and the newcomer to the story Paine and yes that is her name it is not a typo! Okay but anyway it all starts with one phrase it is “it all began when I saw this sphere of you” and I am not going to tell you who she is talking about because like I said it is a spoiler to FFX and I am not spoiling it because it is awesome! But anyway Yuna, Rikku, and Paine are Sphere hunters and they form the Gullwings and they are searching for rare spheres and always trying to out do other sphere hunters! But Yeah I am starting to ramble now Hmmmm…….soooOoooo they travel around the world of Spira and Beyond and when I say beyond you might can guess but i am not telling so yeah and along they way Yuna has these strange dreams of 2 other people and they get wierd at times but it has a purpose and it makes the story better in my opinion! I give the story a 9.5 not as good as FFX but really close but what sequal is ever better than the original! Oh yeah here is a fun fact for ya FF X-2 is the first FF story to have it’s own sequal yeah hard to believe huh?

yuna01.jpg

Anyway moving right along we come to the graphics part of this review! Well It seems like I just go on and on about the graphics in these games and it is true I do go on and on about the graphics of this game because they are pure awesome next to the next Gen systems like the Ps3 and 360! And anyway i am a graphics designer so it is my job to take notice of these types of things! But anyway it is the same world from FFX but is has more places to visit in this game than the first one! Anyway the characters look better in this game than X in my opinion! But that is just my opinion so if you will not take my word for it play the game! lol But anyway I give the graphics a 10!

paine.jpg                               yuna.jpg                                     rikku.jpg

OKay the gameplay and controls! Ugh! This could take forever but I am going to get to the point as quick and as little rambling as i possible can so yeah. The battle system is different in a lot of ways in this one first thing to notice is the active battle system and the dress spheres they are going to get alot of attenion in this review! Okay so the battle system has bars in it this time and to attack you have to wait until the bar fills up and you select your attack then it does it but in the meantime your opponents can beat the heck out of you waiting for the bar to fill! Which got on my nearve a bit but it wasn’t too bad after I got my party leveled up because after they got more powerful it was like Mc Hammer’s Song Can’t touch this! I mean that literally too because i spent nearly 50 hours training in the game it was not nessesary but i wanted to lol I was unstoppable the characters were at level 99 and it was fun! But that is not improtant really I went rambling! Bleh okay so now to the dress spheres which are kind of like the job system from…………ummmmm……….Another Final Fatasy game that slips my mind at the moment! But yeah basically whichever set of clothes you put on it the ability you will get with is cool! My favorite was the Warrior one but that is once again my opinion! So yeah I give the controls and gameplay a 9!

http://images.starpulse.com/AMGPhotos/gscreens/screen250/drs600/s633/s63369t1v7s.jpg  http://images.starpulse.com/AMGPhotos/gscreens/screen250/drs600/s633/s63371of7ub.jpg

OKay the last part the sound! OKay so the cast for the voice overs are still the same as the ones in FFX which is cool and the new characters actors who did the voice overs for them did a good job as well! Now for the music, okay so there is alot more music in this game and is certainly better than the first but some of it gets annoying after a while! The most memorable song is 1000 words and it is sung by none other than Yuna! lol So I give the sound a 9.5!

OKay so I am going to share a bit of info with you because the this will complete the ending to FFX and I mean it as in it will make you feel better about how FFX ended! Complete the game 100% and then you will get the best ending ever! If you get anything below 70% you will get what I consider the sad ending but it really is not that sad to me! But yeah complete it 100% and FFX will be your favorite game ever ending wise!!

Final Fantasy 10 Review
08.27.08

Allright Final Fantasy X Review I got alot of ground to cover with this game!

Final Fantasy X

The story of this game is an awesome one indeed! It starts off in the extremely busy city of Zanarkand where we find our soon to be hero Tidus, star blitzball player for the Zanarkand Abes, getting ready for his big Blitzball match. So the match begins and a few minutes into the match the stadium is attacked by an extremely powerful thing called Sin in which the game stops and he falls down to the ground from the top of the stadium! When he comes to he sees Auron and they start making their way to Sin! When they finally reach Sin they get taken to a completely different world called Spira! Now the adventure really begins! You meet alot of allies along the way but one of the most important thing to hear is something that is said to him when he tells Rikku that he is from Zanarkand! The reply was extreme shock to him; the reply was “Zanarkand was detroyed a 1000 years ago!” Ohhhhh………what a twist………I am keeping this spoiler free for 2 reasons one I hate spoilers and 2 if I tell you then you will not buy the game to play it because you will know! Another twist I will not go far into is that Tidus’ father Jecht disappeared 10 years before the events of this game is he dead, is he alive, play the game if you want to know because you will not hear it in this review! I give the story a 10 it is perfect by all means!

The graphics are perfect I love them and they flow really well with every part of the game! The size of Spira is just amazing and you have to travel it on foot for nearly the entire game but that is okay because you get to fight! Another part of the graphics are the cut scenes which are CGI and they look perfect I can’t say just how perfect they look but sometimes the words do not line up with the picture on the screen the most noticeable one is the cut scene where you first meet Yuna! I give graphics a 10!

Man this is going to take a while for this part it is the gameplay/controls section! OKay well I am going to probably end up rambling in this part a bit but it needs to be told! Well……..the gameplay it awesome for several reasons one being the battle system which is perfect for the game because it fits so well with the controls! Another thing is that you have a party swap button and at anytime that you have more than 3 characters you can swap one in a battle for the skill you need on the feild at the time! One of the coolest features is the overdrive system which I am a huge fan of for several reasons one being they cause alot of damage to the enemy and as you go along through the game you can get your hands on different overdrives for the characters of the game and different ways to fill your overdrive meter! Hmmm……Well another thing is that you have to do all the time to make your characters stronger and learn new abilities is the Sphere Grid system! Which is similar to the License board from FF XII but that is for another time and another day! But anyway back to the sphere grid it’s a cool thing to have in the game because if you know what you are doing you can get the most powerful abilities very early on in the game! I don’t think I rambled too bad and I got to the point so…………..yeah……. I give the Gameplay a 10!

Last part of the review the sound of the game which is going to be kind of short for a couple of reasons! Okay so first I will start with the voice overs……they did their job very well doing the voices for the characters in the game and I enjoyed that! One thing about the sound would be that there is one scene that I consider the best in the game it also has the best music in that one part, everything after that is either gets repetitive or just annoying! I think that there could be another good song in this game but I am not too sure………anyway my gripes for the sound are not that bad and it doesn’t take away from the gameplay at all! But anyway I give the sound a 8.5!

Over all this game is awesometastic and I love it! I have beaten this game so many times and it never gets old!

FF 11 Level Sync (New Update Feature)
08.26.08

The FFXI development team is proud to announce the “Level Sync” system, a revolutionary new feature in the upcoming version update that will allow all players—grizzled veterans and novices alike—to adventure and gain experience together regardless of level differences!

The Concept

The development team has been listening intently to feedback from players, and working hard to address concerns such as the following:
“I can’t party effectively with my friends or linkshell members because our levels are too far apart!”
“I invited one of my friends to play FFXI with me, but we can’t party together because we don’t have any jobs at similar levels!”
“I can’t find anyone close enough to my level to party with!”

The new Level Sync system is the result of extensive discussions on how to resolve these concerns, while preserving game balance and avoiding abuse and power-leveling by RMT groups. It addresses the issues that have resulted from a steady stream of new, low-level players joining an existing game world populated by scores of high-level veterans, and is part of the ongoing effort to clean up the FFXI community and remove players in violation of the users’ agreement.

At the heart of the feature is the new ability for members of a party to “power down” to the level of a designated target player. Now friends will be able to adventure together and gain experience as if they were all the same level!

With the introduction of this system, there will also be major changes to the way equipment is handled in regard to level restrictions. Rather than automatically unequipping items if a player’s level is reduced below the item’s minimum level, the attributes of high-level equipment will be scaled down proportionally to the reduced level.

This will apply not only to the Level Sync system, but to all level-restricted areas and missions. This means that players will now be able to participate in various battlefields, Assault missions, and Ballista, and also to adventure in level-capped areas such as Riverne without the hassle of having to switch equipment!

Read on for more details about how the Level Sync system will work, and examples of how equipment and experience-gaining will be affected.

How it Works

When Level Sync is activated, the level of all party members will be temporarily reduced to that of a target player designated by the party leader. For as long as the Level Sync remains in effect, all party members – regardless of their original level – will be able to gain experience as if they were actually the lower, restricted level.

e.g. With a party containing characters of Levels 75, 48, 46, 30, 12, and 11:
If the target character is Lv. 11, everyone will become Lv. 11.
If the target character is Lv. 12, the Lv. 30-75 party members will become Lv. 12.
(the Lv. 11 character will remain Lv. 11)
* If the target character gains a level while Level Sync is in effect, the other characters’ levels will automatically adjust to reflect the new target level.
* Level Sync cannot be used in areas or events where a separate level restriction already applies.
* The Level Sync settings are easily accessible from the main menu.

Three simple restrictions will be implemented to ensure that the Level Sync feature is not abused and does not provide an excessive advantage over traditional leveling.
1)The minimum target level that can be synchronized to is Level 10.
2)The party leader and target player must be located in the same area.
3)There will be a buffer period of thirty seconds when deactivating Level Sync.

Gaining Experience

When Level Sync is in effect, players will gain 100% of the experience and limit points possible to gain at their reduced level. Be aware, though, that no EXP will be gained if the target player is unconscious, removed from the party, too far away from the battle location, or otherwise unable to receive EXP at the time the monster is defeated.
In addition, the amount of EXP lost when rendered unconscious will be calculated based upon the player’s reduced level.

Equipment

As mentioned above, equipment will also be temporarily powered down to match the player’s reduced level. Attributes that will be affected include: DMG, DEF, HP, MP, Status Effects, Accuracy+, Attack+, Ranged Accuracy+, Ranged Attack+, Magic Accuracy+, and Magic Attack+.
* The current plan is for other special properties (including Evasion, Enmity, enchantments and ability bonuses) to be negated entirely.

Ex. 1) Centurion’s Sword (Lv. 30)
DMG: 19 Delay: 225 Accuracy +3 Attack +4

Ex. 2) Askar Zucchetto (Lv. 75)
DEF: 23 STR+4 DEX+4 VIT+4 Haste +4%
Set: Max HP Boost

Ex. 3) Goliard Clogs (Lv. 75)
DEF: 19 DEX+4 INT+4 MND+4 CHR+4 Evasion +5
MP recovered while healing +3 Magic Accuracy +2

* The attributes in red will be scaled down relative to the player’s level.

Also, low-level players need not be discouraged! Statistics on higher-level equipment (including HQ and rare items) being scaled down will be comparable to those of common items at the target level. This means that lower-level characters who have obtained special equipment via quests, notorious monsters, or HQ syntheses will still have the best gear available at their respective level!

There are still more exciting new changes that will be introduced, so keep an eye out for the full details to be posted on the day of the version update. Until then, happy adventuring!

Final Fantasy Dirge of Cerberus.
08.21.08

Okay time for an awesome review I have been itching to review and here it comes!

Final Fantasy VII - Dirge Cerberus

Yes it is a review of Final Fantasy Dirge of Cerberus! I am going to get right to it!

Okay so the story is that their is an organization called Deepground and they are located under the Old Shinra Power company! They were a secret program that in my opinion went horribly wrong! Before the members of Deepground were with Deepground they were regular people leading ordinary lives until Shinra Kidnapped them and turned them into fighting machines, but their judgement and humanity was lost somewhere along the way! The Action actually begins in I think in Kalm where they are celebrating some kind of event with a festival! Vincent Valentine is also in the City of Kalm when Deepground shows up and kidnaps alot of the people in the city!

Okay so I will start with the Graphics part of this review! Well the Graphics are pretty amazing in this game But that is what you expect from a Final Fantasy game right? Some of the cut scenes look just like a CGI movie and that made me really happy! Overall the Graphics are perfect and I give it a 10 out of 10!

Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII Patches            Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII Demos           Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII Downloads

Next is the story! Okay so if you haven’t guessed you take the role of Vincent Valentine and play through his story of his journey and find out what happened to him all them years ago in the Shinra manor and what he has come to become! So It all starts at the Mako Cannon at the end of Final Fantasy VII in which they are clearing everyone out around the cannon but they see that someone is on the cannon itself so Vincent investigates and finds the person dead or unconcious either way and Vincent pulls out his gun to finish him off but then he just disappeares which it turns out that the person is actually Hojo (Crisis Core reference)but then it skips 3 years and continues with Deepground’s appearance in Kalm in which Vincent intervines and saves as much of the population that he can! This game leads Vincent to find out that he actually has something sinister inside him……..Chaos! I give the story a 10 out of 10 also!

Next comes the controls and how well the game handles! Okay so I loved how the game handles and the controls that were chosen for this game, they worked so well with the controller I couldn’t have done it better myself! There is actually a jump button in this game which was awesome because I haven’t seen a jump feature in a Final Fantasy Game before it was nice to have that added in this game! I give the controls a 10 as well!

screenshot 30               screenshot 22              screenshot 21

I love the soundtrack to this game it is amazing! Most of the songs are performed by Gackt which I have never heard of them but they are very good with their featured song Redemption which is extremely good! and the voice overs for the characters was just incredible if I do say so myself! I give the sound 10 too!

Over all this game is perfect I love it and all I hear about this game is positive comments! This is a 10 out of 10 game it is perfection!

Well I hope you enjoyed this review of FFVII DoC and if you are willing to go the distance you will unlock a secret ending that is awesome *Hint Hint* it has something to do with Crisis Core and a Continuation of the FFVII series!

Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core Review
08.19.08

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Boxshot I know this game came out a while ago and there are already many reviews on it but I had to write about it. There aren’t many great RPGs on PSP so this was a must buy. Here are my thoughts on it, with the best of my writing abilities…

The story was amazing, the star of it is Zack, obviously… It mainly tells about his past, life, inspiration, hopes, love, friends… Angeal, his mentor, plays a big part in the story as he shows him to have honour and dreams, and to live by them. Angeal is also one of the 1st class soldiers with Sephiroth and Genesis. Small parts felt like they were a bit “pushed in” but it made it have more meaning and sense. Nonetheless, it’s a very appreciated addition to FF7’s storyline since it fills some missing parts of the story and, without spoilers, it’s the second Final Fantasy that was able to make me emotional.

Image 1Sepiroth (Middle) Genesis (Right) and Angeal (Left)

Gameplay-wise, it was great. The game works in chapters, where you have the main story and missions but anytime at a save point you can do optional missions that give you some nice stuff. Like items, mako stones, materia and you can level up with some luck.

There aren’t random battles, you get into an enemy encounter in specific areas without getting into a battle screen. Since it’s an action RPG, you can attack anytime you want unless the enemy does a limit break (in-game cutscene). The battle system gets a little time getting used to (like the reels, I’ll get into details a little later) and level up system isn’t great… You gain a level if it stop on 777. So it’s somewhat random though the chances for you to have a 777 increases if your level is lower than X when you’re at X part of the game.

Image 17

You have commends on the bottom right of the screen; attack, materia and items. You switch between them with L and R. You can also press O to return to attack. You also have reels with numbers and characters you meet through the game on it. If three of the same match, you can perform a special attack, get status effects or healing. Sometimes it changes into summon or other character mode (chocobo, as example). They each do different things, like Cait Sith gives you a “Courage Boost” that makes you have more critical hits. You have to find a special materia or item to get those special characters, though.

The numbers give you status boosts and effects, they can also give you limit breaks on health, mp and ap (points used for special attacks materia, talk about it later). They can also level up your materia or level Zack up.

You have few equipment… Most of it is materia and the rest is accessories cause you see, Zack is so badass that he doesn’t need new gear or weapons. XD Okay, seriously…

Now let’s talk about materia. You have magic, status change (ads atk, hp and so on) and you have attack ones (like jump). In this game though you can modify them by combining them to create unique materia, like dark firaga (poison+fire). You can also combine items with them like mako stones that ad up +1 attack power.

Like I said in the reels part, summons are made when they match on a reel. So you can’t use them anytime you want (well makes sense once you play the game). You have to fight them, then you obtain their materia, so they can appear on the reels. I haven’t them all but you have a few of them, like Ifrit, Phoenix, Bahamut…

The music, though not made by Nobuo Uematsu but by Takeharu Ishimoto, catches every moment’s feelings with the Crisis Core’s main piano theme remixes using other music styles, beats and instruments. It has also some FF7’s and, to my surprise, The Last Order’s (anime) music remakes. The soundtrack has a nice variety; pieces that are very delicate and could soften anyone’s heart and others with drums, guitar and violin mixed in, with a theme that would inspire pride, honor, freedom and courage. Some are even simple piano themes… There are many I like but those that got to me the most are “the Burdened”, “Night of Seclusion” and “The Price of Freedom”.

The graphics are really awesome, especially for a handheld game. They’re easily comparable to PS2 games. The cutscenes are gorgeous (like when you summon) and some of them just blew me away. This game was made by S-E so this kind of quality is expectable but it’s still amazing.

Image 9

The voice acting was good, imo. They used the same people as in Advent Children and it works well. Zack is voiced by Rick Gomez, or as some of you might recognize as Gippal in FFX-2. He fits well the character’s personality and makes the emotional scenes credible. The most important characters have voices (like Cloud, Aerith, Sephiroth…) though this isn’t an aspect I find the most important but it is a nice feature.

It isn’t a huge game if you don’t do any side quests but I would reccomend doing them as you might find the game a bit harsh. You have a game plus option when you finish it: You can play it on hard mode, complete it 100%, collect stuff you forgot and such. So it makes it worth your money.

Anyway, it is truly a must buy for any RPG fans who own a PSP or consider getting one. You don’t need to have played through FF7 to enjoy it since it happens before it but there are some few fan service like some music remakes, scenes and secrets in it (like the tomb where Vincent sleeps in Shinra mansion basement).

In my own conclusion, I liked Crisis Core. It has a good gameplay and story. Zack is an awesome character and if you ask me, he’s a true hero, perhaps the greatest.

Oh and sorry if it was a long read, I tried to make it with the least amount of words as I could.

Final Fantasy 11 Update, Myriad Arms of Balrahn.
08.17.08

The next version update brings with it a number of additions and adjustments to the highly anticipated “Myriad Arms of Balrahn,” those mysterious weapons of myth and legend.

Arms of Balrahn Quest Adjustments

One of the uncountable legacies left by that most famous of Aht Urhgan emperors, Balrahn, was his unparalleled collection of what have since come to be known as “Mythic weapons.” Much like their Dynamis counterparts, the relic weapons, these weapons were designed with the intention of being markedly difficult to obtain, as befits their value as prestige items. There are several points of departure between the two weapon groups, however, including both the series of questlines required to procure them, as well as the weapons’ attributes themselves. Whereas the successful upgrading of a relic weapon demands that a player repeatedly participate in Dynamis runs, and subsequently requires a potentially large sum of gil, the mythic weapons are tempered by players fulfilling a series of conditions over a prolonged period of time. Though the means of acquiring relic and mythic weapons may differ greatly in many respects, a number of factors were taken into account before the introduction of the latter to ensure that the eventual time required for obtaining them would be roughly equivalent.
That being said, it has since come to our attention that one of the prerequisites, namely that concerning the amassing of alexandrite, has greatly surpassed the original intentions of the development team. At present, the number of pieces of alexandrite required is recognized to be in excess of a reasonable amount.

A general survey was conducted to ascertain several important facts regarding Salvage and the alexandrite drops within. These included, but were not limited to, considerations such as how many instances of Salvage were being run by players, which routes were being taken and which enemies fought most frequently in each area, and an overall gauge of player progression through Salvage. From this data, an estimation was extrapolated of how much alexandrite would drop server-wide on any given day. Following the introduction of the mythic weapon quests, we were able to confirm that the alexandrite drops were occurring on a par with what was assumed would be the case. The overall amount available for distribution, however, was judged to be overwhelmingly lacking.

In response to these findings, the version update will usher in a reduction to the total amount of alexandrite necessary for the completion of the mythic weapons. Also, new means of obtaining alexandrite will be introduced in an attempt to ease the gathering process.

Arms of Balrahn Quest Additions

Supplementing the amendments listed above, the coming version update will also introduce a new battlefield to round out the Arms of Balrahn questline. Victory in this battlefield, along with successful completion of the relevant quests, will cause the mythic weapons first obtained in the ruins of Nyzul Isle to transform, recalling their original powers and rendering them capable of devastating new job-specific weapon skills.

These weapon skills will also be obtainable by players not in possession of finished mythic weapons via completion of weapon skill quests, also new to the upcoming version update. Once unlocked, they will be available for use whenever a player equips a weapon of the same type on the appropriate job. Though the destructive power of the attacks themselves will remain unchanged regardless of the quest completed to obtain them, only execution with a mythic weapon will grant the powerful Aftermath effects. The new weapon skill acquisition quests were developed with the aim of affording all players the ability to enjoy some the exciting new content we have planned, while at the same time not diminishing the value and prestige of the completed mythic weapons. Whichever path you may choose to embark upon, we wish you the very best of luck on your adventures!

Final Fantasy 11 Free server
08.17.08

Deu to so many recent questions about this I decided to write a post about it.

Sadly there is no such thing as a final fantasy 11 free server. All servers are in hands of SE (sony entertainment) and u can only acces those when u have a credit card and paid the monthly fee. Whe know there is a certain topsite that gives links to free servers (whe have a link on them to, but just for traffic) but even if u pressen all the links u wouldn’t find any.

Saying this.. if u ever found a free server whe would gladly wanna hear about it. As a reward whe will even post the link in a post to it, tho I am afraid such thing won’t ever happen. Sadly……
